IMBIL TO BROOLOO RAIL TRAIL
This is a shared trail for walkers (dog friendly), cyclists, and horse riders. An  easy 4.5km one way return trail, it is easily accessible and popular trail for locals and visitors.  The once used Mary Valley Railway line between Imbil and Brooloo has been restored to a trail which passes through State Forestry and Bellbird Habitat. The song of the bellbirds keeps you company as you take in the scenery on your trail.

GETTING THERE
Once you arrive in Imbil it is very easy to find the Mary Valley Rail Trail. You simply turn at the Railway Hotel into William Street and follow the road alongside the avenue of trees on the Imbil Heritage Park to the end. Take a sharp right and you arrive at the Rail Trail’s car park. This is right in the town and is an easy walk or ride to the start of the trail.
Head through the entry gate and onto the trail which takes you to the next township of Brooloo some 4.5km away. You return by the same route. There are several gates on the trail as you cross roads, a great opportunity to train your steed in gate opening without getting off.  Where  there was previously was a bridge, a concrete path now takes you down to the creek and up on the other side. Listen to the beautiful sounds of the Bellbirds as you walk through the forest and then into open skies. This Rail Trail is well worth the trip, it is an easy walk, cycle or ride and can be enjoyed by the whole family.
